Home / Product / Medium Voltage Power Cable / Medium Voltage Single Core Power Cable
Medium voltage (MV) single core power cables are designed to transmit electrical power in systems with voltage ratings ranging typically from 3.6/6 kV to 26/35 kV. These cables are commonly used in industrial, utility, and infrastructure applications, including power distribution networks, renewable energy installations, and substations.
Conductor : copper or aluminium
Conductor Screen: Extruded layer of semi-conducting cross-linkable compound
Insulation: cross-linked polyethylene compound XLPE or EPR
Insulaton Screen: Extruded layer of semi-conducting cross-linkable compound
Metallic Layer: copper tapes
Over Sheath: PVC
Standards
IEC 60502 Part 1(1.8/3KV)
IEC 60502 Part 2(3.6/6KV to 18/30KV)
They are suitable for installation mostly in power supply stations, indoors and in cable ducts, outdoors, underground and in water as well as for installation on cable trays for industries, switchboards and power stations.
